What better day for a quote about Bobby Valentine than Valentine's Day.
Most Mets fans remember him as the team's manager from 1996--2002. He was described as colorful, controversial, a visionary and a sharp baseball mind.
During his tenure, he led them to the World Series and had a record of 536 and 467, a .534 winning percentage.
My favorite quote about him actually comes from his days as the Manager of the Texas Rangers.
"He was like a college professor. I thought he had tenure."
