Great Ralph Kiner Quotes

As a lifetime Met fan, I grew up with Ralph Kiner, Lindsay Nelson and Bob Murphy. I watched so many Met games that I feel like they were part of my extended family. Couldn't watch a Met game without ending the game with Kiner's Korner. Besides being a great announcing trio, no one had more funny malaprops than Ralph Kiner.

In memory of the great Ralph Kiner, here are some of his all-time great quotes:

"If Casey Stengel were alive today, he's be spinning in his grave."

"On Father's Day, we again wish you all a Happy Birthday"

"The Hall of Fame ceremonies are on the 31st and 32nd of July."

"Home run hitters drive Cadillacs; singles hitters drive Fords"

"The Mets have gotten their lead off hitter on base only once this inning."

"Rookie Wilson was a candidate for Mookie of the year"

"They will pass the father-son tandem of Yogi Berra and Buddy Bell."
--on Barry and Bobby Bonds becoming the all-time father-son home run leaders
