JIMMY BRESLIN METS QUOTE OF THE DAY FOR MARCH 19TH

In honor of the passing of the brilliant columnist Jimmy Breslin, we give you the Mets baseball quote of the day.

For those to young to remember, Breslin was a bad ass columnist who was on top of New York's political scene like no one else. He took no prisoner but he did it was a wry humor. Plus, he was a huge baseball fan who even wrote the classic, Mets book, 'The Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight',

Here is his hilarious one liner about the 1962 Mets,

"Never has so much misery loved so much company."
Jimmy Breslin---on the huge crowds that the awful 1962 Mets team would draw
